"Last month, when Cheaper Than Dirt! responded to the tragic killings in Newtown, CT by suspending all online firearms sales in the interest of re-examining their marketing approach (presumably to emphasize 'sporting' firearms) and followed that miss-step up with ridiculous price gouging of ammo and magazines (400+% markups), they got what they deserved: Swift Backlash from the firearms community and a loss of many thousands of customers. Since that time, reports of them canceling back-orders and selling the same items for the new higher prices have been rampant. Celebrities join boycott of outdoor show

Exhibitors have been dropping out in a show of support for the Second Amendment.

Now the celebrities are following.

Several television personalities and expert hunters who were supposed to be on hand at the upcoming Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show to speak to attendees and sign autographs announced over the weekend they will join the growing boycott of the show slated for Feb. 2-10 at the State Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg.

Cabela's pulls out of Harrisburg outdoors show over gun flap

Hunting and fishing retailer Cabela’s Inc. will not participate in what has been billed as Pennsylvania’s largest outdoor sports show next month following the decision to ban the display and sale of assault weapons and high-capacity ammunition magazines.

Event organizer Reed Exhibitions imposed the ban at the Eastern Sports and Outdoors Show, scheduled to be held Feb. 2-10 at the state Farm Show complex in Harrisburg, following the deadly Connecticut elementary school shooting that has prompted the ongoing gun control debate in Washington.

Cabela's drops out of Eastern Sports and Outdoors Show

Cabela's Inc., the North American hunting and fishing retailer, announced Saturday that it will not participate in the Eastern Sports and Outdoors Show to be held Feb. 2-10 at the Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg.

This comes on the heels of smaller retailers boycotting because of the decision by event organizer Reed Exhibitions to ban the display and sale of assault weapons and high-
capacity ammunition magazines.

As of Tuesday, more than 170 companies and celebrities have announced their plans as to pull out of the Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show being held at the State Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg Feb. 2 through 10.

The boycotts are a result of the announcement by show organizer Reed Exhibitions that so-called assault rifles and high-capacity ammunition magazines will not be allowed to be displayed or sold at the show this year.

Black Blade: Won't be many sponsors left except a few Fudds. I bet that the show will be cancelled and if not then we will have a clear identification of those vendors who stand with us and those who stand against us.

The meek shall inherit the Earth, but not the mineral rights!
